About Powder Coating

Powder coating is a durable, high-quality finishing technique that involves applying a dry powder to the surface of jewelry and then curing it with heat. This process creates a beautiful, long-lasting finish that is resistant to scratches, chipping, and fading. After applying the powder, the coated object is placed in an oven, where the powder melts and fuses to the surface, creating a hard and protective finish. The powder coatings we offer are made of polyester or polyurethane.

Benefits of Powder Coating Jewelry

Durability

Powder coating provides a significantly more durable finish compared to traditional paints. It's resistant to scratches, abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays, ensuring that your jewelry remains beautiful and protected for years to come.

Variety of Colors and Finishes

Powder coating offers a vast array of colors, textures, and finishes. From classic metallics to vibrant brights, you can create unique and eye-catching jewelry designs.

Eco-Friendly

Unlike traditional painting methods, powder coating produces minimal waste and contains no harmful solvents.

Cost-Effective

Powder coating can be a cost-effective finishing option for jewelry, especially for large-scale production runs. The durable finish reduces the need for frequent re-coating, leading to long-term cost savings.

How to Powder Coat Jewelry

Safety Note: Ensure you have proper ventilation to avoid inhaling powder particles during the coating process.

Step 1: Prep the Surface

Proper preparation is crucial for a successful powder coating application. Thoroughly clean and prepare the jewelry piece you want to powder coat. We recommend denatured alcohol.

Step 2: Apply the Powder

Heat the metal, then dip or sift powder coating onto the surface.

Step 3: Cure the Coating

Place the powder-coated jewelry in a toaster oven and heat it to the optimal temperature and duration.
