C.H.P. Milano Small Sprue Cutter Italian - Flush Cut

This cutter is ideal for heavier cutting jobs and for cutting small sprues. Made of high grade tool steel; blackened non-glare head.

Use with up to 14 gauge wire in silver or copper. Wondering what a sprue is? A sprue is created by the channel where molten metal pours into a casting. Once the metal is cooled and solid, the channel is filled with excess metal and is now called a sprue. It looks like a branch coming off the cast piece. This must be cut off with heavy duty pliers and the nub filed and sanded away. Made in Italy.

perfect cuts every time,

"I had been cutting my jump rings with wire cutters and not getting a really good cut, the cut was uneven and sometimes misshapen so I got the Spruce cutter. This is a solid tool, easy grip and cushiond handle. The cut is even and angled, perfect for bringing back into line and sitting evenly when the jump ring is closed. It leaves no sharp edges to snag on things or prick the skin. The cutter is of solid construction but not bulky, another great tool from Cool Tools"

Great cutters but light duty !

"these work great for light work and light wire but use it on something heavier and you'll get the edges messed up and places where they don't cut properly. Love them for everything except the fact that they dented easily."

Cutters from

"I purchased these because they can cut thick wires. These cutters come close to making a perfectly flush cut. I have only had them for a month, hope they stay sharp for a long time"
