"Nylon and delrin hammers are useful for raising and forming metal vessels because they don't leave the big marks you'll subsequently need to planish out in yet another round of hammering. This hammer is a good value, very light to hold and easy in the hand. It's almost too light, actually--at some point I may drill a hole into it and insert a metal core to give the head more weight."

A hammer with two options

"I have not used this product yet. My art teacher recommended nylon for PMC. I like the wedge end on the hammer for difficult to reach areas. I also purchased a plastic hammer for PMC and will use it on PMC pieces also. I will need to compare the nylon versus plastic hammer for PMC pieces."
