Interchangeable Hammer - 12 Faces

Texture and metal go together, and this hammer makes it so easy to create a multitude of textures. The hammer face can be changed to any two of twelve designs. The patterns are endless. Use the small designs to pinpoint texture in a certain area; the large designs to cover a bigger area or use multiple designs to layer textures on one another. Each face is easily and securely attached with a threaded collar. Six textured stainless steel head designs include wide circles, dots, stripes, thin circles, speckles and weave. Three smooth heads in nylon, stainless steel and brass. Three domed heads in nylon, stainless steel and brass.

Good, but...

"I like the variety and the textures that are available with this interchangeable hammer, but the threaded collar is a serious problem, at least for me. The collar worked fine at first, but then i noticed that it kept coming loose fairly quickly. I used pliers to tighten it and that helped, but i think that the threads got messed up during one of the times that the collar worked loose--now that collar won't tighten, so one end of the hammer is useless. A new collar might fix things, but this hammer is practically new and shouldn't be having this problem. I don't know if extra collars are available, or at what price, but if I had it to do over, I'd go for a better designed and/or quality interchangeable hammer."

"The collars had rough edges with spurs of metal making it difficult to change heads. The parallel head was not flat resulting in indentions on the edge but not in the center. The circular heads were the opposite leaving only a small circle in the middle and not the entire design."

Great Textures

"I've been using six of the textures and like them. The head comes loose and you have to tighten it from time to time. Not that big an issue for me because I'm using it on smaller jewelry items. The versatility of the textures makes that a minor inconvenience for me."

"This single hammer with multiple faces replaces at least 4 hammers in my tool box. Since I teach in different locations I haul my tools with me and this sure lightens up my tool box. The extra weight in the hammer head makes for more defined textures on the metal. The hammer is solid one piece which means there is no need to be constantly tightening the hammer head with a wedge or glue."
