Kiln Shelf - Ceramic Fiber 6" x 6" x 1/2"

Ready to use for soldering and torch firing. To use as a kiln shelf, first burn out the binders by firing the board alone at 1000°F for one minute. Leave the board to cool without opening the door. Kiln shelf is then ready to use. The kiln shelf can be heated up to 2300°F for continuous use.

Great little shelf

"This shelf is perfect for open firing pieces!"

Libby F. (5/5)

Great size for my silver pendants

"This is a great size for my small pendants. It has a smooth surface that doesn’t leave marks after the firing."

David S. (5/5)

Great shelf but too small

"I have an 8x8 kiln and I have yet to find a shelf that is larger to fit inside. I searched everywhere for an 7x7 shelf. Other than that these shelves are fine."

Marilyn C. (3/5)

Perfect Board

"Perfect for what I want to use it for! Very nice. Quick shipping, too."

Laura R. (5/5)

Ceramic fiber shelf

"Great shelf to fire clay on and also for soldering."

Jane Z. (5/5)

Favorite shelves!

"I use these forever in my kiln. After 6 years of firing my last two have become brittle and finally crumbly on the edge. Now I use my old fiber shelves to solder bronze and copper on. Ten star product!"

Julie C. (5/5)

Not quite sure when I'll

"Not quite sure when I'll be using them."

Kathy W. (4/5)

Perfect

"Fits in my kiln perfectly. Just what I wanted."

Carolynne W. (5/5)

Kiln shelf

"Many uses!"

Paula R. (5/5)

Great for soldering!

"I purchased this to support small metal elements for soldering. It is soft enough to imbed tiny parts and absorbs heat, which avoids overheating the metal. Works like a charm, although using it this was does cause rapid deterioration of the shelf."
