Our tin bronze wire is a true bronze alloy made of tin and copper. Most so-called "bronze" wire sold is actually an alloy of copper and zinc, which is technically brass. This bronze works perfectly with base metal clays and can be fired in place.
With a touch less tin, the wire is more malleable and easier to work with. Fully annealed so the temper is dead soft. If you are familiar with dead soft fine silver or sterling silver wire, you'll notice immediately that Tin Bronze Wire is much harder. It feels more like half hard sterling because of the nature of the alloy.

"The best wire I have found anywhere!"
— Sarah (5/5)
"Nice wire. I just wish it looked less brassy and more bronzey. It is to the yellow side. Not a truly perfect match for my beloved Fastfire Bronze...but a beautiful wire."

"I primarily use the 20 gauge for wire wrapping, but I also use heavier gauges for forged work. Tin bronze is the best for torch work, patina and consistent color. This website is also very user friendly!"

"This bronze wire was the easiest to work with of any that I have tried for my application and had a very nice color and luster."
— Kevin C. (4/5)
"I love this wire, as well as the 10G copper. I make jewelry and components with it. It's great for forging. It hardens, tumbles and polishes perfectly. I'm a repeat buyer."

"Bronze wire is great for making jump rings to go with my FastFire Bronze clay pieces. Easy to make and so nice to have. Hate using brass or copper for this wonderful metal clay!"
— Beverly D. (5/5)
"Perfect for my needs - hard to find raw true bronze wire. I use this the 20 gauge to make ear wires and component connectors."

"Product is good for use in metal clay jewelry construction. Also useful in wire-wrapping and for riveting too!"

"I used this as a necklace component. Despite the heavy gauge it was quite workable and annealed very well with a propane torch and hard charcoal block. I had no problem even making a small loop at one end. The heat patina was wonderful!"
