Lortone® Tumbler - 33B - 115V (US)

Lortone tumblers are designed to handle the weight of stainless steel shot and are used widely in the jewelry industry, so you can depend upon this machine to last for many years. Tumble finishing is the easy way to put a shine on metal clay jewelry. While in the tumbler, pieces are work hardened, which is a good thing for fired metal clay pieces. Double barrel.

Product Tips

Fill each the barrel with 1lb minimum and 2lbs maximum stainless steel shot. Add your fired items (brass brush them first). Pour in enough distilled water to cover the shot, add 1 drop of a mild dish soap as a burnishing compound, put the top on and place on the rollers. Tumble pieces for one to two hours for a beautiful shine!

Note:  Only use soap with no additives such as anti-bacterial, lotions, etc.

Great Little Machine

"I made a huge mistake… initially anyway. I thought with my boys getting older and they always coming home with cool rocks that they would like to get into rock tumbling. I did a lot of research and couldn’t justify spending $200 for a Lorraine if my kids didn’t like/have the patience for tumbling rocks. So I bought a Leegol Electric for half the price. Boy that was a huge mistake the first one burned up after the first night the company sent me a replacement at no charge and let me keep the original. The second one burned up after the third night. Now I have two oversized paperweights. I finally ordered the lortone 33b and let me tell you it is so smooth and so quiet. You definitely get what you pay for in this kind of equipment. Only way it could be improved is if it had a on off switch… I might just end up putting a switch on the outlet. As far as the leegol electric tumblers I might end up seeing if I can put lortone motors in them."
