EZ960 Bezel Set Ring by Paula McDowell

Join Paula McDowell as she creates a layered, bezel set ring using EZ960® Sterling Silver Clay. Combining three textured layers with a faceted ring band and a cabochon stone, this project offers plenty of opportunities to make the design your own.

Paula walks you through shaping and refining the clay, assembling the layers, and creating a hammered look texture on the band with a rotary tool. She also demonstrates how to secure a bezel cup with a small metal clay “rivet” before firing, then set the stone after firing and finishing.

From the Cool Tools archives: We recently rediscovered this tutorial, filmed approximately six years ago, along with a few other videos featuring Paula. You’ll see our previous logo and studio throughout - a little look back at Cool Tools while sharing a project we’re excited to bring out of the archives!
