Plique-à-jour with Metal Blanks by Karen Trexler

In this video, Karen shows how to use copper blanks to make plique-à-jour earrings or pendants. Plique-à-jour is a French enameling technique that translates to “letting in daylight.” It’s a method of applying enamel in cells without a backing, creating a translucent stained-glass effect when light passes through the enamel. Our copper blanks are the perfect thickness for this technique, making them the perfect canvas.
