For the past eight years, Karen Trexler has been an incredible part of the Cool Tools family. As our Resident Artist, she's inspired thousands of makers through her videos, classes, product development, and generous willingness to share her knowledge. Her creativity, talent, and passion for teaching have helped shape not only Cool Tools, but also the metal clay community as a whole.
We're excited to share that Karen is beginning a new chapter as she steps away from her full-time role at Cool Tools to focus on growing her own artistic practice and teaching.
The good news? This isn't goodbye.
Karen will continue to be part of the Cool Tools family. She'll still be teaching with Cool Tools products in her local classes, and whenever inspiration strikes with a new technique or product idea, she'll be back in our studio creating videos and sharing her expertise with all of you.
One change you will notice is that Karen will no longer be representing Cool Tools at events like AMCAW's Sinter or Sawtooth's MCAS. While we'll certainly miss having her at these conferences, we're excited to see where this next chapter takes her as an artist.
Karen has left an incredible mark on Cool Tools over the past eight years. We are so grateful for everything she's contributed, and even more grateful that this isn't the end of our relationship. We know you'll continue to see her creating beautiful work, inspiring artists, and sharing her passion for metal clay for years to come.
Please join us in wishing Karen all the best as she embarks on this exciting new adventure. We can't wait to see what she creates next, and we're looking forward to welcoming her back whenever a new Cool Tools project comes along.
