Phoenix in slip/paste form is ready to use - no need to thin lump clay to a thinner consistency. Ideal for adding details and findings to your designs, making repairs, adding parts and pieces in the wet stage, greenware and post firing. Also use to paint on leaves, sticks and botanicals to create and re-create natural designs. Embed findings, glass and stones with Phoenix paste.

Phoenix Torch Fireable Clay is a great, all purpose fine silver metal clay with excellent working properties and can be fired with a kiln or torch. Because it can fire at low temperatures, it is the perfect clay for co-firing with glass. Its density provides strength in the greenware state, and after firing, it is ideal for soldering, enameling, bending and polishes to a beautiful high shine.

Made in the USA. Contains recycled silver.

Sticky. So sticky. Not really a fan

"This clay was my introduction to metal clay. My first attempt was a disaster. The clay was soooo sticky. I put it away and wondered I got myself into. I tried it again about 2 weeks later and while the clay was still soooo sticky, I powered through. I was able to make a couple charms for earrings that I really like. I liked that I could torch fire it. That was handy since kilns can be expensive and I still wasn't sure I was going to continue with this. I did all the things to make the clay less wet and less sticky. I managed to not dry it out and stored it in the clay hydrator. I don't know if I left it in there too long or what but when I pulled it back out, it was WET. So wet. I couldn't do anything with it. I patted it dry and let it sit out for a bit to dry it out but it just wouldn't do anything but be super wet and sticky. It's now sitting in its packaging, wrapped twice with saran wrap. Maybe one day I will pull it out again. I have now tried Cool Tools FS and EZ925 - both of which I like better than this. I also tried Art Clay Copper (I will write a review on that). And I bought a kiln."
