Wubbers® Ring & Hoop Press - Transverse 24

There’s no need for an expensive hydraulic press to use this tool—simply use a weighted rawhide mallet or a large rubber mallet to hammer the top of the press, creating the pressure needed to form the wire that has been placed inside.

This tool will allow you to create numerous different looks with just one Wubbers Ring and Hoops Press! Watch the video on how to use.

Interesting textured look!

"I bought the 24 and 14. These are 14g copper hoops. I formed the 24 ones first and there was a bit of a learning curve. I don’t have a 2# weighted rawhide mallet but I do have a 1# one. It wasn’t enough to form these 14g rings. I ended up using my 2# mini sledge I use to stamp and that worked better but also marred the tool. 14 gauge is probably a bit heavy for the 24 or more likely I over worked them with the lighter hammer and failed to get a nice wave but the texture is nice. The 14 gave me a wonderful wave and texture. One note, these rings were formed on a 3/4” wood dowel and I feel they are about as small as the die will take and form metal. The hoops I wrapped on bigger dowels I haven’t been able to form yet as I don’t have a mandrel to round them up that works for them (yet!). I think they will texture better as they will sit higher up on the spokes of the tool. I made several attempts to upload photos to this review to no avail. However I was able to upload a picture on my review of the Wubbers ring and hoop press 14. Both the 14 and 24 pressed rings are in that picture."
