.999 Fine Silver Shape - Rounded Rectangle

This 24-gauge, 12 x 16mm fine silver rectangle stamping features rounded corners and is ideal for forming into components for your designs. The stamping is die struck with clean, crisp edges and will require some finishing to smooth its edges and polish its surface. Use dapping techniques to create concave or convex designs, use them as foundations for other findings (including bezel cups or flat-bottom prong settings), as a backdrop for wire-wrapping designs, and for personalizing with engraving or design stamps. This stamping is ideal for enameling and for use with silver metal clay; when enameling on metal thinner than 20ga., it is important to use a counter-enamel on the back of the piece to prevent distortion or cracking of the enamel on the front surface.

Fine silver, .999% pure, is an ideal foundation for enameling. Pure silver offers a bright white color and is best suited to pieces not exposed to daily wear and tear.
