Better Bond - 20ml

Better Bond is a specially formulated all-natural adhesive designed for use with all types of metal clay. Unlike traditional glues, it is engineered to burn out completely during firing, leaving a strong, clean metal-to-metal join.

Universal use – Works with silver, copper, bronze, and other metal clays.

Better Bond works just like glue.  Put a drop on your piece and attach your 2nd piece.  Use sparingly as it bonds quickly.  Apply a small amount of pressure for a few seconds to ensure a good connection.  Better Bond can be used in the greenware stage as well as fired-to-fired pieces with fresh clay. 

Each bottle of Better Bond comes with a dropper nozzle and a precision tip.  To use precision tip, remove the dropper nozzle insert, carefully to avoid damaging the cap or bottle.  Remove the white band (it is on the precision tip nozzle) and place the rubber circle attachment on the bottle, below where the precision cap will rest.  Screw the precision tip on the bottle.

How to Use:

For Greenware

• Apply a small amount of Better Bond to one surface.
• Press pieces together gently.
• Allow to dry before firing.

For unFired to Fired

• Rough up your fired piece only in the area of the join.
• Add Better Bond to both the fired piece and the greenware piece.
• Take a small amount of fresh clay, placing it between your 2 pieces and join.

For Fired to Fired

• Rough up both pieces in the area of the join.
• Add Better Bond to both pieces.
• Take a small amount of fresh clay, placing it between your 2 pieces and join.
