Bezel Template - Round 1

Make seamless bezels in metal clay for your fireable gemstones. These templates are a quick, easy and economical answer to creating metal clay or polymer clay bezels for cubic zirconia, lab created or other fireable gemstones in standard sizes of 6mm and larger. Each template has two bezel wall thicknesses for each size of gemstone, depending upon whether you want a smaller, narrow bezel, or a larger, wider bezel. Stone sizes in mm are listed on the left side of the template with 2 corresponding bezel wall thicknesses in mm listed on the right.

Got as replacement

"Had previously purchased this item but spilled some alcohol on my bench that made it dissolve and melt on to another template. I have used for setting stones and it works well."

Templates

"I find the templates are more trouble than they are worth, or maybe I just don’t have good technique? They are often too small."

Bezel Template

"I had to get this template after watching one of the videos and seeing how hard I was making my life trying to do this without this tool! What a difference it made! I had to practice a little but now can get a clean, smooth, deep enough bezel for my stones. Highly recommend making your life easier too!"

perfect round bezels

"I finally got a chance to use the 6mm round bezel. At first I had some problems, but soon learned that it is essential to keep the clay moist, but not too wet and it is easier to manage. I made a number of the bezels, but only change I made in the directions was to roll the clay a bit thicker than indicated when I tested the height of the stone. That assured that the stone was able to sink deeply enough in the clay so that it was firmly held. They were rough looking when first made, but after total drying on my old Salton hot plate, I was able to file them into perfect shapes. I am eager to try the larger sized ones that I got, especially the square ones, as they have always posed a problem in shaping. I highly recommend these templates. Don't get discouraged if they seem difficult at first. Once you get the clay the right consistency and are patient you will be rewarded with perfect bezels."
