These silicone textures are specially designed to create beautiful, delicate designs using very small amounts of clay. Create intricate and lightweight elements individually or combine them to make more elaborate jewelry. Depending upon size, most designs will require only 2 or 3 grams of clay, allowing you to create more jewelry than you ever imagined with a single package of silver clay. Individual elements make for the lightest earrings, or, combine elements to create matching necklaces. Apply delicate elements to a metal clay backing to create brooches or to apply enamels. Making beautiful, delicate designs in metal clay couldn't be easier, fun or more economical.
Made in the USA
IMPORTANT NOTE: EZ960 and FS999 is recommended. No other clay body will perform as well in the silicone texture. It is necessary to dry the clay while still embedded into the texture. Dry completely on a cup warmer or in a dehydrator set at 165°F for 5 to 7 minutes.
There is something special about the properties (binders) of Metal Adventures EZ960 Sterling and FS999 that allows these clay bodies to be resilient and flexible when heated to the greenware stage, making these products the perfect companion to use with Delicate Element Textures. While other clay body types, to include base metal clays, have their own special and unique properties, they will not perform satisfactorily in the Delicate Elements textures.
Heating EZ960 or FS999 by plate warmer or dehydrator while still in the texture allows the clay to dry into durable, flexible element that is easily removed from the texture and is ready to be fired in a kiln.

Delicate elements
"I recently purchased both One and Only and Spyro Gyro to use with polymer clay. I had read that these sheets would work with only one kind of silver clay, but decided to experiment anyway. With a thin sheet of clay they both made a very attractive pattern to cut out as a veneer, particularly the Spyro Gyro, but I found it impossible to manipulate the clay sufficiently to make the elements shown in the samples. However, using liquid clay they did work, and I was extremely pleased with the result. There were some flaws but I’ m confident I’ll sort those with more practice. Also, a huge bouquet to Jill in Customer Support for her brilliant assistance when my parcel went awol. 💐 I have invariably found Cool Tools to be a brilliant resource. Thank you everyone."

Delicate & Sturdy
"I was skeptical at first and there was a bit of a learning curve for me. However, this design mat is so much simpler than syringe clay! It took about 3 tries before I was happy with the pieces that released from the design mat, which is due to being my own harshest critic. I've always wanted to make these kinds of designs, but syringe or rolled clay never produced symmetrical or satisfactory results. This design mat opened up a world of designs that mimic soldered wire and I'm excited! Now to collect them all!!!"

Light, delicate, yet durable
"Once I got the hang of how to create earrings out of these textures, I became prolific. By adding a small glass cab, they are selling like hot cakes for the holidays. They look like snowflakes."

Pretty but flimsy
"This mold does make a pretty and delicate pattern but I found the results to be flimsy and easily broken. Perhaps I just need more practice?"

Worked Great Once.
"This worked absolutely beautifully. Once. I started with the small snowflake and using the fs999 clay. It filled in easily and smoothly. Unfortunately when I placed it on the mug warmer to dry (as in the instructions) the sillicone deformed and bowed upwards so that the small snowflake part doesn't lay flat anymore. It's impossible to fill with clay and is now useless."
