"I use the diamond files to prepare my unfired clay for firing. I do most of the clean up on my pieces before I fire them. Metal clay is very fragile at the pre firing stage and these files being light weight really help me not to get heavy handed and brake a piece I am working on. The files are a nice size and fit into small spaces, for instance, inside of bails, and rings. I use all of the file s"

"These small diamond files are great quality and comfortable to use due to the plastic hand grips. They make it easier to work on sterling and on fired metal or dry clay. I would prefer larger grips, however."
