These squares are 28 gauge steel with a porcelain enamel coat. Kiln Fire or Torch Fire.

Note: Enameling Squares do not distribute heat as readily as copper. When torch firing, make sure to heat the piece evenly and come out to the corners to get them to fuse. If applying enamel to the black (back) side of the square and using the torch to heat the white side, expect some slight graying of the white coating.

Fast and easy for enameling

"I used these for a project using Sunshine enamels. I cut it with Fiscar craft scissors without a problem. (Cut before you enamel) Just a bit of filing on the edges and it’s perfect. No counter enameling was needed so that saved time. Fired perfectly without discoloring. Makes for a lighter weight piece, especially with the Sunshine enamels."
