Faux Bone Saw Blades
Faux Bone Saw Blades
SKU:SAW-350
Choose a Size
Faux Bone Saw Blades
These blades are really extraordinary. They are specially made from hardened steel and fit any standard jeweler’s saw frame. However, unlike regular jewelers' saw blades, they won’t break if flexed or twisted. They also don’t bind in the Faux Bone™ or almost any other material such as Plexiglas or lexan where binding can present a constant problem. The blades are available in two sizes; fine for materials from 1/16” to 1/4" and medium for material from 1/4" to 1/2". This means that if you are working in 1/4" you can use either blade. The difference is that the fine blade leaves just a little smoother cut. Spiral blades, commonly used for Plexiglas, leave a very ragged edge, however these blades leave a smooth edge that can be finished with just a bit of filing and/or sanding. These blades are not meant for metal but are terrific with almost any other material such as wood, laminates, bookbinders board, or non-metallic found objects.
