"1st in my opinion, no other supplier can beat Cool Tools for value, customer service, fast shipping, continuing education or creative supplies. I mainly work with fused glass and use fine silver to enhance my pieces both big and small. As a bonus most of the supplies also work great for glass that has been made into clay. I don’t usually leave reviews because even if you buy just one item from Cool Tools then you will be hooked for life. You won’t bother reading reviews because with that 1 purchase you would know that you are dealing with a company that you can trust for quality goods with a price and service that cannot be beat. I have been purchasing the different Finishing Touches pads for a while but was unable to actually use them until this month. I set aside time to concentrate on making small elements to add to future pieces that I will start working on next year. This is what I found. Rating each one from 1(Bad) to 5(Great). Oval Domed – 1 star This was my biggest disappointment. I had so many different designs that were going to incorporate elements that were comprised of doomed ovals. The problem – the doomed sections are so shallow that the 2 mm are useless, the 3 mm are barely noticeable as being doomed elements, and only the 4 mm are useable but not very well defined. This was the only Finishing Touches pad with that problem. It could be I received a “bad” pad. Diamond Flat – 3 stars The mold was deep enough to produce the elements but I wasn’t impressed with them. To me, they look like little clumps of clay. This could be a user problem and I may need to “play” with them more. Crescent Moon – 4 stars The mold was deep enough to produce the Crescent Moons but, for me, I see limited use. Star Flat, Round Domed Open Circle & Round Domed Slotted – 5 stars I GOT STARS! LOTS AND LOTS OF STARS! I can see lots of possibilities for the Open Circle and Round Slotted elements. All the elements are distinguishable and will give a unique feel to my pieces."

"We can the same and so many many oval domed at once. That's good."

"I bought 3 different designs of these Finishing Touches Molds and I just can't put them down! I can't review on how I used them in a design because I am having too much fun making the little pieces. My plan is to make a bunch of all three shapes and then go to town creating a jewelry piece with them. Trust me, the possibilities are endless. I keep my pieces in an old Carmex jar... these Carmex (or any empty pot that once housed lipgloss) pots are also perfect for keeping small bits of clay. I just glued a piece of sponge to the lid for moisture. But for now they are keeping my tiny treasures contained!"
