For burnishing freshly fired metal clay. This pen-style scratch brush has retractable bristles to give you a range of firmness in a compact size. Extend the bristles to get into those impossible places and to get a true scratch finish. Set the bristles short to get a uniform medium satin finish. Can also be used to clean files.

"I really liked this brush alot, but after a few uses, when I went to extend the bristles (you can make them longer or shorter), the spring system inside the barrel broke and they fall out now. Not sure what happened, but I will need to repurchase this."

"Scratch brushes are difficult to find. This is a very nice one with a retractable and replaceable tip. It's a very dense brush that leaves a very fine texture. Although this isn't a slight against this brush, I would like to see Cool Tools carry a series of less dense brushes that would create a coarser texture."
