Solarez® Dual-Cure Polyester Casting Resin - 4 oz

Dual-cure casting resin has outstanding clarity with good weatherability, fair thermal stability, and a quick curing time. Cure either with UV Light in a couple of minutes, by MEKP catalyst, or both at the same time. If cast is more than 1/4" thick, or if inserted parts obscure light, or there is heavy tinting, MEKP catalyst must be added because UV light wont reach all areas of the cast and curing will not take place. Curing can also be done in layers if cast is more than 1/4" thick. If cast is larger than a ping pong ball, use MEKP to cure. Use 6 drops of MEKP per ounce of resin and mix well. To Dual-Cure, add 3 drops of MEKP per ounce of resin and expose to sunlight. The hidden areas will cure in about 30 minutes.

Cure time: 3 minutes by sunlight/UV or 30 minutes by MEKP catalyst

To get rid of bubbles on the surface of the resin, gently use a blow dryer with warm air.
