Textured Metal - Brass 22 gauge

This brilliant textured metal can be used for so many things; cut out your design shapes, add color with enamels and patina, solder and embellish, form and shape them to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. The possibilities are endless!

Red brass can be considered both a brass and a bronze. It typically contains 85% copper, 5% tin, 5% lead, and 5% zinc. Red brass is widely considered to offer a good mixture of corrosion resistance, strength, and easy workability. Red brass is a great and inexpensive base metal for making jewelry. It is versatile, and works wonderful with both brass and bronze.

This textured sheet is approximately 2" x 6"

Not as Advertised

"I bought this and another plate a while back and had yet to leave a review. As soon as saw the two plates I purchased, I knew they were not quite as advertised. I've purchased brass texture plates from other suppliers in the past to use with my rolling mill and from the pictures on the website, this (and the other one I purchased) look identical in definition of pattern as the others. However, I suspect the ones I received were actually rolled from the original plates because the the patterns are very, very shallow and do not imprint in silver using a rolling mill (I experimented only with one knowing exactly what the results would yield). I wish I could attach a pic to show how superficial the patterns are. I believe the ones I received wouldn't imprint very significantly into PMC either if that were my media. Perhaps a fluke. But if they are being rolled prior to selling, Cool Tools owe it to their customers to be truthful about that, especially since they are expensive comparatively to other sites. I wish I had returned them as soon as I saw them but I tend to set stuff aside only to discover them at a later date and be disappointed all over again."
