Wood Clay 8 oz

Use Wood Clay as a framework for hollow forms. Dry thoroughly. Wood Clay burns away during firing. This is the perfect burn-out core material for creating hollow forms in metal clay jewelry. Easy to shape, lightweight, and clean-burning, it supports complex designs and burns away completely during firing. 

Complete drying : Approx. 3 days in a room

Note: Kiln fire only. Wood clay is not for use with torch firing.

Firing instructions : *Wood clay creates smoke during firing. Always work in a well ventilated area. As a core for Art Clay hollow piece made with Syringe or Clay layer, either of following 3 options (A,B,C) can be chosen. A) Fire them from room temperature kiln, and 800°C/1472°F for 5 mins. B) Fire them in 800°C/1472°F kiln for 5 mins C) Set kiln at 900°C/1652°F, open the kiln door to put work inside of the kiln. Set kiln temperature 800°C/1472°F for holding 5 mins.
