Our Wrap Ring Templates make it easy to create beautifully proportioned wrap rings in a variety of shapes and styles. Simply cut your clay using the template, wrap it around a ring mandrel, customize the design with textures, gemstones, enamel, and other embellishments (or not!), and fire.

Tip: Before cutting your clay, cut the desired template shape from a piece of paper and wrap it around your ring mandrel to determine which of the four sizes is the best fit for your design.

Each template includes one ring shape in four graduated sizes, ranging from 62mm to 77mm. Create a range of ring sizes and styles with a single template. Keep the ends closed, open or layered. The possibilities are endless!

Made from our specially designed translucent material, these templates are easy to spot on your workbench while remaining clear enough to accurately position over textures, patterns, or other design elements before cutting.

Product Tips

To use the template on polymer, metal or ceramic clay, place a plain or textured slab on a Tuff Card or other work surface. You can safely rest your fingers on the template to hold it in place. Cut out the shape with our Ultra Clay Pick or a very fine needle tool. Start at the outside corners and cut to the inside corners for the cleanest cuts. Remove the template and lift away the excess clay.

For use on sheet metal, use a Scotchbrite pad to give the surface a soft satin finish, then use a scribe to scratch the shape onto metal. China white can also be used to paint on a white surface, or another method is to cover the metal surface with a label, then trace the shape with a sharpie. It's easier to see it this way and helps with more accurate cutting.
