Kiln Shelf - Fiber - Hardened 6" x 6" x 1/4"

This is the standard kiln shelf that is shipped with all Paragon SC2 and SC3 kilns. This shelf is designed for firing metal clay and glass. Size can vary from 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 1/4" to 6" x 6" x 1/4".

The shelf is made of pressed fiber cordierite. This shelf is very soft, but it's called hard because it has a hardener on it. You can safely fire metal clay and glass on this shelf without the use of a release or shelf paper. For a lifetime kiln shelf, use a hard ceramic kiln shelf.
