High quality

"Originally, I purchased these for a metal clay class. These are great for neatly setting stones in my metal clay pieces as well as traditional metalsmithing. High quality burs, made to last."

Very good for stone setting

"I have only used one size so far of this set but I'm excited to try the others and set various sizes of stones. If you are working with a thickness of clay that will allow you to use the bur to create a bezel to set the stone in, I feel it is an easier way to set them. I used the 4 mm and it captured the corundum citrine perfectly with no concern of it coming loose. I made sure the stones were sitting below the surface of the clay a bit and there was no movement of the stones during firing."

A good way to drill holes for faceted stones

"I've started creating settings for fire-in-place stones with these, and like them very much. Wish they came in larger sizes."

Great product for clean stone setting

"these burs are great! I use them to drill holes and set round CZ into the dry clay, and then fire.Very clean setting, looks like a regular Gypsy setting."

Love the burs

"I was introduced to a stone setting bur in a metal clay class. This has completely changed the way I set stones. Cool Tools had the exact sizes I was looking for and a great price"
